Over the past 12 months there has been a number of informal & robust discussions held regarding what our new alternate strip should look like. The current old Roosters jumpers are well past their use by date and we urgently require new jumpers for season 2022.
The overwhelming feedback from these discussions highlighted a couple of non negotiables when looking at a new away jumper –
When deciding on options for the new alternate jumper from the initial feedback we received and to ensure we focused on the non-negotiables and not over complicate the design, the solution was simple – reverse the colours and ensure past and current logos were included….
When deciding on the alternate strip options, all past North Ballarat Football Club team jumpers were considered in the design (including all North Ballarat City Club jumper logos).
Our most recent jumper with a letter logo was changed prior to the centenary year in 1982 and featured the NFC logo. After consideration of all logos and discussion with the designer, it was decided that too many letters could be seen as overcrowding the front of the jumper, whereas using the latest jumper that had NFC letters would be seen as the best feature. This also aligned with the initial feedback to not overcomplicate the design.
The next step was to reverse the colour positions to a black V on a white jumper. Note: The BFNL has guidelines that all clubs must have the league logos on the left and right chest (these were included as shown) and we also included our old Rooster NBFNC logo on the front to support the current times.
On the back of the new design we have included – established 1882 to remember when we started.
Additional feedback has been received regarding where the sponsor’s logo should be placed….
With the jumper being used for a maximum of 4 games each year (some less depending on the draw), the example below shows our major sponsor logo on the back as recognition and it leaves the front to show off the NBFNC colours / logos.
The club is placing this alternate strip on the NBFNC website for all members to view and to provide feedback and comments if necessary. We will leave the jumper design on the website until the 17th Jan 2022 at which time we will take the next steps and either proceed with an order or look at alternative options.
We appreciate your honest feedback or endorsement and all feedback will be considered. As previously advised this jumper design can be accepted in total or changed depending on what suggestions are provided.
We have asked the BFNL to provide us with feedback on the design option and if there would be any issues should the members decide this or a variance would be suitable as our away jumper.
